Ms. Dusch has been teaching (computers, English, science, social studies and reading) at Highland Hills Middle School since the school opened in August of 2004. Before that, she taught computers at Floyd Central Jr./ Sr. High School for four years. As someone who always wanted to be a teacher (and is the daughter and younger sister of teachers) Ms. Dusch attended Ball State University (Chirp, Chirp!) to get a degree in elementary and computer education. While at Ball State, she was active on campus in several clubs, groups, and a national sorority. In her spare time she is a volunteer for Sigma Sigma Sigma, where, through her work, she helps college age women learn to hold themselves accountable as women of character and conduct. Ms. Dusch is also an alumnus of New Albany High School where she currently serves on the schools' Hall of Fame committee to honor exceptional graduates and people who have provided service to the school and community. Ms. Dusch also believes that to grow as a person (and step out of your comfort zone the way she asks students to on a daily basis) you need to try new things, so at the age of 35 she did her first beauty pageant (this is where she learned to write bios in third person). Since then she has become a Miss America Organization certified judge and holds multiple local, state and national pageant titles. Also, Ms. Dusch spends every spare moment reading!
